Get on your Sunday Best………

We're headed to Sears

Get on your Sunday best, we're going to sears!

“Put on your Sunday best kids… we’re going to Sears!” These ten words were obviously spoken by none other than Mr. Brady from the 1995 Brady Bunch movie release. And, such a memorable line has resonated with viewers of the movie, because the Department store Sears continues to provide products that are reasonably priced for a variety of different budgets.

The Brady’s story has been told and retold through the popular television series and multiple movies. When a family comes together, they can accomplish anything. And, as a family of eight, they’ve always needed to watch their spending, much like many families in today’s society. Now, where did the Brady’s turn to when they needed to look their best? Sears. Whether you are living by yourself or have a family of eight, or even more, it is always best that if you shop to shop smart.

You can always sign up for a Sears credit card to save yourself money and rewards and give yourself some time to pay off the products you purchase but not all at once. Homeowner Organization and Storage Tips

As home owners, we all know a little about the importance of organization and storage. The longer we all live in a house or an apartment, the more stuff we magically acquire over the years.  We have everything from shoes, to cleaning supplies, and even yard utensils and tools. The number of our odds and ends always seems to multiply but unfortunately for us, the size and space of our humble abodes do not. Sure, we could all pick up and move to a bigger house with more storage room, but that’s not always a luxury we’re able to afford. The only other alternative is to get creative. And by creative I mean, utilizing or creating new shelving ideas. It doesn’t matter what you’re looking to organize or in what room of your house or garage, there are always options and products to help you accomplish what you’re striving for.

Sears must know that this is a common challenge because they offer a number of solutions and products to help get things in order. Check out these three different ideas below.

What’s that smell?

Last night an all too familiar smell came blowing through my windows. Could it be? Was it really? Yes, finally, it was grilling’ season and my neighbors were cooking up a seemingly delicious meal. Today, I was excited to grill some hotdogs for the kids but I was missing one thing…a grill! What a bummer!

Sears Kenmore Grill

Get your Grill on!

At the end of the season last year, my old faithful finally bit the dust after 10 years of hotdogs and hamburgers.  I was eager to kick off the season and get myself a grill. Many stores are advertising their patio and outdoor items now with the start of the spring and summer seasons. The first place I went to search was Sears because of their history of appliances in my household.  Sears has great deals on all of their grills right now. I bought a $399 Kenmore grill which ended up being $317 after sale prices! To add to my great find, Sears is offering free shipping to the store which saves an extra $70. My total savings of $152 should be plenty of money to stock up on our favorite warm-weather foods for upcoming picnics and parties. Continue reading

Tom’s Shoes

If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it? Or maybe I mean, if it works, try it again. When your ideas become as successful as Blake Mycoskies’ did when he started the One to One program with shoes for TOMS, you’d be silly not to try it again with a different flavor. So that is just what he did. This time, he took a spin on vision and eye wear.

Sticking to his guns and his original motto, the One to One program was borrowed from the TOMS Shoes division and set the foundation for an entirely new initiative. With the eye wear division, the One to One took on a whole new gift of giving. Blake recognized that in the case of vision, people’s needs can be quite unique. For many, the solution falls solely on a new pair of eye glasses, but some of the less fortunate are in need of much more than that. Often times these children and adults are faced with severe visionary issues that can only be resolved with sight-saving surgeries. Recognizing this, Blake designed his new One to One program on a needs basis. For every pair of TOMS sunglasses sold, a person in need can either receive medical treatment, prescription glasses, or sight-saving surgery. Continue reading
